Robert Lieber

Vice President

Robert Lieber serves as a Vice President for Anubis Advisors. He joined Anubis and Island Capital Group in July 2010. From 2007 to 2010, Lieber was the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development under New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Prior to working for the Bloomberg administration, Lieber worked for Lehman Brothers for 23 years. His most recent position was Managing Director in Lehman’s Real Estate Private Equity Fund and before that, as the Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking.

In 1998 and 2003, Robert Lieber received the “Deal of the Year” award from Institutional Investor Magazine. Commercial Property News honored Lieber with the title “Financier of the Year” in 2005. He holds a BA from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School and a Trustee for the Urban Land Institute.
