Frank Garrison

Vice President

Frank Garrison serves as a Vice President for Anubis Advisors. Garrison also serves in the Office of the Chairman and as an Executive Managing Director for Island Capital Group, is President of C-III Capital Partners and Chief Executive Officer of Island Global Yachting. This is his 20th year of association with Andrew Farkas and companies affiliated with Farkas.

Before formally rejoining Island Capital in November 2007, Frank Garrison was President of Courage Capital Management, a registered investment advisor with approximately $1 billion of assets under management. During this time, Garrison remained involved in Island Capital’s CMBS fund business and several other related activities.

Prior to joining Island Capital, Frank Garrison held the title of Office of the Chairman at Insignia Financial Group and President of Insignia Financial Services, which is Insignia’s investment banking and principal investment arm. During his 12 years with Insignia, Garrison was responsible for and oversaw or personally negotiated over 60 acquisitions of operating service companies, 90 public tender offers, multiple financings of both debt and equity, and the sale of various divisions and ultimately the remaining business in several public company transactions, the last of which occurred in July 2003. He was also responsible for managing Insignia’s principal real estate investment business group, managed joint venture relationships with a variety of institutions and managed Insignia’s CMBS and distressed debt investment management group.

After earning his J.D. from Vanderbilt School of Law in 1979, Frank Garrison practiced commercial law with Farris, Warfield and Kanaday until 1982. He specialized in securities, creditor’s rights and other commercial/corporate matters. Garrison received his B.A. in only three years with a double major in Business and Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Frank Garrison is on the National Real Estate Council for the Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management and is a Board Member of the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, where he chairs the Finance Committee. He is also a Past President and current member of the Board of Trustees of the University School of Nashville. Previously, he was the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and the President of the Vanderbilt University School of Law National Council.
